* Note: This is not pulling off the name of Guinevere the queen of King Arthur. This is actually named after it's creator my great-great-great (-great? I'm too lazy to look) aunt's potion, that she was rather famous for in her time.
1 apple, quartered
I c. rose hips
dash cinnamon
1/2 c. rose petals
2 tsp. sugar
1 c. mint leaves
Blood, at least 4 drops*
Muslin or cheesecloth to strain
Bring to a boil the apple, petals, mint, rose hips and cinnamon^. Boil for 3 mins. stirring constantly, clockwise. Take it down from a boil to a simmer. Simmer 10 mins. then add the sugar, stirring clockwise until the sugar is dissolved. Strain, add to the liquid the blood, stir, heat again for two minutes, take off the heat, and serve hot as a tea to the intended subject.
* Must be fresh and either menstrual or from the heart line.
